KEMET

Since its founding in 1919, KEMET has been dedicated to making the world a better, safer, more connected place to live. With over 100 years of technological innovation, KEMET helps in making a wide variety of products possible in the world’s most rapidly expanding industries. Their components are found in spacecrafts and defibrillators – from outer space to inside our bodies, and in products we use every day. They have the broadest selection of capacitor technologies in the industry, including an expanding range of electromechanical devices and electromagnetic compatibility solutions.

In 2020, KEMET was acquired by YAGEO Corporation. The combined organization will be a powerhouse of electronic passive components with a leading product portfolio of polymer, tantalum, ceramic, film and electrolytic capacitors, chip resistors, circuit protection as well as magnetics, sensors, actuators and inductors all addressing a full range of end markets.

The KEMET Electronics Plant in Macedonia has been established and successfully operating since 2011, continuously improving its production and upgrading the production capacities, as well as the capacities of its employees. They are proud to say that within the frameworks of this plant we have many organizational units giving support to other plants in the region and beyond. Recently, KEMET opened a new production capacity that will focus on automotive products and continue our story of innovation as one for the 20th century and beyond.

PI SWISSLION DOO Skopje

PI SWISSLION DOO Skopje is a proud member of the concern SWISSLION – TAKOVO, which is one of the largest and most famous producers of food and beverages in Southeast Europe. Currently SWISSLION in North Macedonia operates through fig. legal entities namely:

  • PI SWISSLION DOO Skopje – with the main activity trade in food products
  • SWISSLION-AGROPLOD DOOEL, Subsidiary Production Skopje – with the main activity production of confectionery products
  • SWISSLION-AGROPLOD DOOEL Resen – with the main activity production of confectionery products
  • AGROPLOD AD Resen – with the main activity of agriculture, poultry farm – egg production.

In terms of food safety standards, SWISSLION has always been a step ahead. Already in 2005, it received the HACCP certificate, and the following year it was the first company in Macedonia to receive the international food safety certificate ISO 22000:2005. In 2008, Swisslion received the Kosher certificate, which is the only prerequisite for exporting to markets with a Jewish population, and successfully implemented the HALAL standard, which targets the Muslim population. From the point of view of international standards, it is the continuous maintenance of the food safety certificate FSSC 22000 ver.5.1, with which SWISSLION can smoothly conquer the European and world markets, without exception. Before the products leave their factories and go all over the world, their team of professionals in their own microbiological laboratories vigilantly controls them. The safety of the food produced under the SWISSLION brand is uncompromising, which is why there are two internal laboratories in Macedonia, equipped with the most modern equipment, in which the highest standards are used to confirm the microbiological safety of the products.

Elektro Sharri DOOEL

Elektro Sharri DOOEL is located in Trebosh, Želino  and it was founded in 2013 as the first biogas power station in Macedonia – Elektrosharri. The plant produces electricity from poultry litter. The German expertise and the domestic support enabled this power station to offer alternative electricity on the market in Macedonia, as well as in the region.

The plant for production of biogas and electrical power has capacity of 1 megawatt per hour, and annually produces 8.760.000 kilowatt hours.With Elektro Sharri, the waste is not treated as waste but as a renewable energy source. The raw materials used for operation of the plant consist of waste from the Vezë Sharri farm and other agricultural waste. Moreover, it produces bio-fertilizers in quantity of 8.000 tons on annually as by-product from the process of biogas production.
